The cooperation between Kanaliiga and CGI makes it possible to play in PUBG Masters

CGI has worked as Kanaliiga's partner almost since the beginning of Kanaliiga, i.e. already 4 years, and the cooperation was continued through a renewed contract again this fall. CGI's teams play CS:GO in Kanaliiga with five teams and PUBG with one team.

CGI's PUBG team made a huge rise this season, advancing from last season's 3rd division to the Masters with the help of the qualifiers. One of the cornerstones of the rise was the new consultant Lauri "cnfnd" Venäläinen, who moved from Elisa's team to CGI. Lauri reveals that he had already promised to raise the league level in his job application: "I had written in the job application that I would raise the team's league level by at least two divars." However, it is not known whether this was the decisive factor in getting the job. However, the promise was fulfilled threefold.

How did Lauri end up changing jobs: "One of the reasons why he wanted to change companies when he came to CGI was because he saw their logo on streams. You know that these guys at least play, that it's easy to form relationships with colleagues." And this is immediately confirmed, because none of the members of the PUBG team would otherwise be in contact with each other for work. E-sports therefore connects across team boundaries. At CGI, personnel are encouraged to join Kanaliiga.
